Recipients: William Winter and Mrs. William Winter (letter to the latter addressed "My dearest friend"). Both largely concern the Booth family, including Junius Brutus, both his first and second wives (Adelaide and Mary Ann), and his sons Richard, Edwin and John Wilkes. One letter signed "M.C. Owens," the other "Corrie Owens." Both letters sent from 909 St. Paul Street. With (2), the accompanying envelope addressed to Mrs. Winter at 17 Third Avenue, New Brighton, Staten Island, N.Y.
